The Republic Day weekend has just gone by and I am sure like me, all of you must have been glued to the screen watching the Republic day parade with awe and pride. What’s your favourite part of the parade though? Mine is definitely the state floats…varied, distinct and yet united in the spirit of India.
Its quite rare to find a country that is not only so diverse in its landscape and flora and fauna but also in its culture, language, food….Think of the piping hot Thukpas in the cold, lush green north east….the crispy, spicy fish fries on the banks of the Ganga in Kolkata, or the spicy Ker Sangri (with some lehsun ki chutney on the side) in the desserts of Rajasthan, or the delectable sea food in the streets of crowded Mumbai or the Konkani delights in a cozy houseboat in Kerala…and then polish it off a sinful plate of Daulat ki Chaat from the bylanes of Old Delhi!
So this year on the occasion of the 70th Republic day….we, a bunch of 11 travel logging bloggers, decided to begin our #XploreBharat journey through a unique blog train…where we will be covering the length and breadth of this incredible country through 70 blog posts about different cities and states….We will scale the heights of the mighty Himalayas, ferry across the beautiful rivers, ride the tuk tuk, take the locals and gorge on some delicious food all through these blogs…
And since we Indians love travelling in large groups…we have reserved a few seats on our blog train for anyone who wants to hop in…so come lets #XloreBharat
